As a youth, I have grown up with the mentality that I will gain political knowledge within time. Like a fine wine, I thought I'd get better with age. What I did not consider was that time is nothing but a measurement; what really matters is what happens within that time. What I mean by this is: political where-with-all does not come with time, but in engagement. Furthermore, I am just one measly person, and I feel like there are so many others like me that will be struggling with issues such as debt and unemployment that I feel it is necessary to encourage engagement. After all, there is strength in numbers and the more of us actively engaging in politics, the louder our voices can be heard.
